David is an Associate in the Employment Group and Dispute Resolution groups. After 10 years as an in-house lawyer in local government he moved into private practice in the 1980’s, initially with a major London firm and subsequently in the Nottingham office of a national firm. He joined ABG in 2005.

Having specialised in employment law for over 30 years, David has experienced first hand the development of what has grown into a complex and sensitive area of the law. He works closely with HR professionals, operational managers and senior executives to support and steer them through the complexities of all aspects of both individual and collective employment law. He has extensive experience as an employment tribunal advocate, but his primary focus is avoiding and resolving disputes. David also handles commercial dispute resolution cases.

David is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. He is also an experienced speaker at seminars and conferences.

In his younger days he was a dedicated athlete/marathon runner, but as time has moved on David’s main work/life balance has become horse riding - he loves mucking out!
