Derbyshire based Mediline Nursing and Carers Ltd has acquired the Uttoxeter domiciliary care business Grange Homecare for an undisclosed sum.
Mediline is a well-established, independent agency providing carers and nursing staff in and around the Midlands area and specialising in live-in care throughout the UK. They provide specialist care for clients with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, learning difficulties and spinal and brain injuries. They also provide high-quality professional agency staff for institutions, care homes, hospitals, businesses, schools and education centres.
ABG's Corporate and Commercial Partner Andrew Sutton provided the legal advice on the acquisition and worked with Colin Peacock of Greenhalgh & Co, Chartered Accountants and also Mark Chandler of Lloyds TSB who provided the funding.
Andrew Sutton said: “I am delighted that we were able to put a team together to assist Mediline in completing this acquisition, including advising on the post acquisition integration of the Grange Homecare business with Mediline Nurses and Carers Limited. There was great co-operation between ourselves, Colin Peacock of Greenhalgh and Co and Mark Chandler from Lloyds TSB to get the deal across the finishing line. By making the acquisition Mediline reinforces its position in the domiciliary care market and we were pleased to play a part in that”.
