Nottinghamshire Law Society 24 hour “Buzzathon for Charity”

Deborah Hutchinson, head of our Private Client Group is planning to join Stephen Warner of Maclaren Warner solicitors in Stapleford, as his co-driver for a 24 hour Buzzathon at Mallory Park, Leicestershire this June. Deborah is the current vice-President of the Nottinghamshire Law Society and Stephen is the President.
They will take to the track in a Piaggio Ape, a 3 wheel Italian car with a tiny engine of only 25mph. Kitted out in Paul Smith racing gear, they will ride the vehicle in 2 hour stints over 24 hours from 5pm on Wednesday June 10th. The vehicle makes a loud buzzing noise, vibrates and doesn't corner well so it will be a challenging experience!
The event will help support the work of the nominated charities, Macmillan Cancer Support, Railway Children and the Alzheimer's Society. There is no entry free or parking charges but the organisers hope that you will be willing to make a donation.
The 24 hour Buzzathon will also feature family activities and events including a knock-out Skittles tournament, Musical Chairs, bouncy castle, beer, food and a guest appearance from the weatherman, Des Coleman from the BBC's East Midlands Today programme.
As part of the event, there will be an informal gathering of classic cars of all types which is open to everyone and again is free. If you have a classic car of any kind, bring it along.
For a fee of £5 adult (£10 family) you can also ride your bike(s) around the race circuit between 7-8pm during the evening.
